LEGO Stargate

LEGO Stargate is a 3D sidescroller set in the Stargate universe in the style of the Traveller's Tales LEGO games.

Highlights

Created collectable animated LEGO studs that update a score in a UI.
Created AI that follows the player around for secondary characters.

Set up secondary Teal'c character that can fire a weapon and move heavy objects.
Created LEGO models that can be damaged and fall apart, spawning studs when fully destroyed.

Created character swap system that changes the focus of the camera to follow the new character.

Designed and built a symbol matching puzzle that only archeologists can use.

Spline based camera system that can either rotate to face the current character or follow them, moving along a spline.

Designed and built buildable LEGO models that spawn studs on completion.

Project Details

The conception of Sorcerer Smackdown originated from being a long time fan of both Stargate and LEGO games. This project taught me a lot about blueprint, importing models, camera management and possession mechanics.
